Admission requirements
For admission to the Master's degree programme in Legal Psychology, you must meet the following access and admission requirements:
- Eligibility to study in Master's degree programmes according to § 10 BerlHG
- Successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Psychology (usually with a grade point average of at least 2.5), which is adequately equivalent to the curriculum of the Bachelor's degree programme in Psychology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the MSB Medical School Berlin
Studying at the MSB Medical School Berlin is free of any NC restrictions. For the university, achievement, talent, motivation and discipline count more than the final grade point average on the degree certificate.

With the master's degree programme in Psychology with a focus on Legal Psychology at the university Faculty of Natural Sciences of the MSB Medical School Berlin, we offer both bachelor’s and master’s graduates the opportunity to acquire advanced competencies in a specialised field of psychology. The content of the master’s degree programme in Legal Psychology on the one hand complements the master’s in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy excellently in professional practice, but on the other hand also represents an independent course of study to expand professional competencies in the field of Legal Psychology.
The master’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Legal Psychology at MSB aims to qualify students for the application area of Legal Psychology. Legal Psychology is the overarching term for both Forensic Psychology and Criminal Psychology. Special emphasis is placed on the understanding of interdisciplinary collaboration with other professional groups.
Offer: Double Master’s Degree
The master’s programme in Psychology at MSB is designed so that graduates of the master’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Legal Psychology can obtain a further master’s degree specialising in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy in just one additional year.
The master’s programmes are based on the foundations of professional action competencies and cross-professional action competencies, so that these study contents can be recognised in a subsequent master’s degree. In two semesters you will acquire the specific professional competencies of the selected further master’s degree programme and demonstrate your skills in the final master’s thesis.
