The Bachelor's degree programme in Media Management and Digital Marketing is aimed at everyone interested in digital media, marketing processes and communication. What admission requirements apply for the Bachelor’s degree in Media Management and Digital Marketing?
For studying at Hochschule Fresenius, you need a university entrance qualification. The following are particularly recognised:
- General university entrance qualification (Abitur)
- Subject-specific university entrance qualification
- Advanced technical college entrance qualification
- An internationally recognised equivalent university entrance qualification
- Professional qualification: for example master craftsman’s certificate or a completed vocational training of at least two years followed by three years of professional experience, as well as passing a suitable admission procedure
Since the degree programme has no numerus clausus (NC), admission is possible regardless of your final grade. Proof of a pre-study internship is not required. Applications and enrolment are regularly possible for the winter and summer semesters at the locations Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Wiesbaden and Heidelberg.
You should enjoy creative processes, have an interest in digital topics and a sense for trends in media and communication. Advantages include skills in working in a structured way, analytical thinking and the willingness to try new things. Communication skills, ability to work in a team and initial experience with digital tools (for example social media platforms, content management systems or basic analysis tools) are helpful. A basic interest in economic relationships, modern marketing methods and media law fundamentals supports your success in the course.

In the Bachelor's degree programme in Media Management and Digital Marketing at Hochschule Fresenius, you acquire comprehensive knowledge in media economics, digitisation, and modern brand communication. Course Structure
The full-time study programme normally takes six semesters and comprises 180 ECTS credits. Optionally, you can integrate a practical semester, which extends the duration to seven semesters and results in 210 ECTS credits. The course is divided into compulsory and elective modules and combines theoretical fundamentals with practice-oriented projects and case studies. The course starts are possible in both the summer and winter semesters.
The organisation offers you flexibility: a change between the available locations is possible during your studies. Interdisciplinary courses and collaborations with companies prepare you practically for various fields of work. In the final semester, you write your bachelor thesis and present the results at the bachelor colloquium.
Additional offerings such as the StudyPLUS portal extend your studies with free language courses, career events, start-up consulting and networking.

You can complete the bachelor's degree programme at several locations of Hochschule Fresenius: Berlin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Heidelberg, Cologne, Munich or Wiesbaden. The programme is also offered in Heidelberg. You mainly study in face-to-face formats with direct access to modern infrastructure, networking events and practice-oriented teaching.
A change of location during your studies is possible, allowing you to flexibly adjust your place of residence according to your wishes. The locations are characterised by cooperation with local companies, central locations and livable campus environments. In addition to on-site teaching, you benefit from cross-study offers and digitally supported learning opportunities.
Costs and Financing
The monthly tuition fees are normally 850 Euro at the locations Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Wiesbaden. At the Heidelberg location, the monthly fee is 750 Euro. The total costs amount to approx. 30,600 Euro for the regular six-semester standard period of study in most cities. In addition, a one-time registration fee of 695 Euro applies.
The price includes all courses, exams, support and access to free additional offers such as language courses and career training. Various options exist for financing your studies, for example:
- BAföG (grants and loans for students with the respective entitlement)
- Study loans (e.g. KfW study loan)
- Scholarships (merit- or need-based, regional or nationwide)
- Support from educational funds or employers (in the case of working as a working student or practical phases)
