Admission Requirements

In order to enroll in university studies at Fresenius University, applicants must demonstrate the necessary qualifications for the program (university entrance qualification). This can be demonstrated by:
- the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), which entitles you to study at all universities and in all federal states,
- or the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, which entitles you to study in the corresponding subject area and in the federal states specified in the certificate,
- or the vocational baccalaureate, which entitles you to study at a university of applied sciences or in a tiered degree program at a university in the federal states specified in the certificate.
Alternatively, you can also be admitted without a high school diploma or vocational baccalaureate. Provided for admission without a high school diploma:
- You have passed a master's examination.
- Or you have a qualification in accordance with the Regulation on Access for Vocationally Qualified Persons to Universities in the State of Hesse, i.e. either a qualification from a professional advanced training course of at least 400 hours, a qualification from a technical school or a vocational or administrative academy, or a passed final examination in a state-recognized training occupation followed by at least three years of professional activity and passing a separate university entrance examination.
- For foreign qualifications, equivalency must be demonstrated for admission.

Study Content and Specializations
With a Bachelor's degree in the course Media Design and Management, graduates have extensive and concrete design skills (3D, vector, and pixel). In handling 3D design software (tools, plugins, engines), graduates demonstrate their special skills in product, event, location, game, and character design. They are familiar with the essential production processes (3D printing, prototyping...) and have sufficient business basics for project-oriented management and team leadership.
The solid knowledge of social science topics and cultural needs forms the basis for constructive concepts and creative ideas to solve problems. The high practical relevance during the studies and the real, analytical involvement with companies from various sectors of the economy promote a strong demand for experimental and research-oriented design that meets the general quality standards in business and society.

- 3rd Semester: Marketing and Market Research, Media Culture, Digital Law, 3D Design: Production & Animation, Compositing/Visual Effects/CGI, Elective Module II
- 4th Semester: Technical Applications & Data Analytics, Digital Marketing and Online Business, Business Ethics and Sustainability, 3D Prototyping, 360-Degree Design: Virtual and Augmented Reality, Elective Module III
- 5th Semester: Business Simulation Game, Data Science and Visualization, Specialization, Elective Module IV
- 6th Semester: Social Media & Online Communication, Online Editing & E-Portfolio, Elective Module V, Bachelor Colloquium, Bachelor Thesis
During the course of the studies, you will also delve into one of these exciting specializations: 3D Object and Space Design, Moving Image and Narration, Game-Based and Interactive Systems. Furthermore, you can choose from several of these elective modules: Business Informatics, Engagement as the Subject of Individual Education, Digital Program and Project Management.
By the way, you have the option to integrate a practical semester into your course of study. If you choose to do so, the standard period of study extends to 7 semesters, and you will earn 210 ECTS credits.

Hochschule Fresenius offers the Bachelor's programme at a total of 2 locations in Germany. Conveniently, if you want to explore a new city during your studies, you can simply switch to one of the other campuses of the university.
Wiesbaden: In Wiesbaden, the capital of Hessen, Hochschule Fresenius has its roots, as Carl Remigius Fresenius founded his Chemical Laboratory there in 1848. The city offers not only numerous historical sights but also an interesting corporate structure with many medium-sized companies, service providers, agencies, and a lively start-up scene. You can find Hochschule Fresenius with its 30 modern lecture halls, the university library, and the cafeteria in Moritzstr. 17a.

Logistics and trade, for example, are interesting industries, numerous advertising agencies and publishers are located there, and the healthcare sector is flourishing in the 1.7 million city. The Campus Economics & Media of Hochschule Fresenius is located in Alten Rabenstraße, while the Campus Economics & Social Sciences is located in Lilienstraße in Hamburg.
