Successful completion of the Business Informatics degree program enables graduates to enter various sectors of industrial companies and public service providers.
At the beginning, the connections between business information systems and business tasks are developed based on the basic studies. Project-based work is an essential part of the later work environment. For this reason, project-related activities are already introduced in the first semester and linked to the consideration of information systems management. By learning modern programming languages (e.g. Java and C#), students are enabled to engage with object-oriented approaches and to practically apply them in project-related work. Building on these foundations, courses on databases, practical informatics, e-business, IT security, IT controlling, etc. complete the course of study. Good knowledge of the interface between people and IT systems is important, as business informaticians often work as a link between IT departments and all functional areas within organizations. To this end, the degree program includes modules on human-machine interfaces, modeling of business processes, system architectures, and operational application systems.
