In the Bachelor's programme "Foundations of Chiropractic," you will engage with the medical, biological and practical fundamentals of modern chiropractic. The central subject areas are:

  • Chiropractic diagnosis and therapy: You will learn to recognise complaints of the musculoskeletal system, apply manual treatment techniques and specifically address causes.
  • Medical and biological fundamentals: Modules on anatomy, physiology, functional systems of the body and pathology provide you with the necessary background knowledge.
  • Practical chiropractic skills: Specific treatment methods are practised in treatment rooms – supervised by experienced practitioners from chiropractic.
  • Social-communicative skills: You will train in dealing with patients as well as in interdisciplinary teams to build communication and consulting competencies.
  • Scientific work and research methods: You will develop skills to critically evaluate scientific findings and conduct independent research.
  • Clinical psychology: You will learn applied psychological fundamentals that play a central role in dealing with patients.

The study contents were developed in close cooperation with the Deutsche Chiropraktoren-Gesellschaft e. V. and are taught by lecturers with practical experience. Practical training forms a key focus of the programme.
