Admission Requirements
In order to commence university studies at Carl Remigius Medical School, applicants must prove the qualification required for the course of study (university entrance qualification). This is demonstrated by:
- general university entrance qualification (Abitur), which entitles you to study at all universities and in all federal states,
- or the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, which entitles you to study in the corresponding subject area and in the federal states listed on the certificate,
- or the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences, which entitles you to study at a university of applied sciences or in a tiered degree programme at a university in the federal states listed on the certificate.
In addition, you hold a Bachelor's degree in a medical or medical-related field, such as Human Medicine, Health and Nursing Sciences, Midwifery Science, Physician Assistance or Psychology. Your degree should include at least 210 ECTS credits. Missing entry requirements can possibly be acquired through qualification modules.
Furthermore, you have gained at least 1 year of professional experience following your first degree, with deployment experience in the field of authorities and organisations with security tasks or in the field of humanitarian aid.

Course Content and Specialisations
This part-time Master's programme is aimed at employees of authorities and organisations with security responsibilities who wish to expand their expertise in internal threat prevention as well as in disaster and emergency response. You will study in Idstein/Hesse near Wiesbaden.
The curriculum includes the following modules:
- 1st semester: Scientific Methodology, Emergency Medicine: Triage & Lifesupport in Operations, Operational & Emergency Care, Crisis Management & Medical Hazard Prevention, Operational Mission Planning
- 2nd semester: Collaborative Cooperation, Personnel Management in Crisis & Emergency Management, Legal Aspects in Crisis and Emergency Management, Intercultural Action & Ad-hoc Qualification of Response Forces
- 3rd semester: Applied Scientific Methodology in the Context of Crisis and Emergency Management, Digital & Analogue Corporate Security, Emergency Medicine in the Context of Staff Work, Extended Operational Capability Abroad
- 4th semester: Final Examination
