If you are an international applicant, you will need to provide proof that your school-leaving certificate is equivalent to a German university entrance qualification. In many cases, this requires recognition through uni-assist or the relevant German authority. You should also be able to demonstrate your completed vocational training is comparable to German qualifications in the healthcare or medical assistant field. Since the programme is taught in German, you must provide proof of sufficient German language skills (usually at least B2 or C1 level, depending on the university’s specific regulations).
In summary, international students need:
- A recognized higher education entrance qualification
- Relevant completed vocational training in healthcare/medical assistance
- Proof of German language proficiency
- An employer or project sponsor in Germany for the practical phases
