The Master of Science in Public Health - Prevention and Mental Health at the APOLLON University of Health Care Management in Bremen is a part-time study program that is completed over a period of 24 months.
The aim of this program is to empower graduates to autonomously evaluate, plan, implement, and evaluate preventive interventions based on evidence-based criteria, particularly in the field of mental health. Additionally, they should be able to work in research-related areas of prevention and health promotion, with a focus on mental health in various settings, target and risk groups, and fields of action.
The program provides a broad knowledge and specific expertise in the field of prevention and health promotion, as well as analytical methods to describe, analyze, and explain health-related influencing factors and connections, taking into account societal conditions and the healthcare system. The program is divided into 14 program-specific mandatory modules and five electives, of which two must be successfully completed, and concludes with the academic degree "Master of Science" (M.Sc.).
