The APOLLON University of Health Sciences is a state-recognised, private university of applied sciences based in Bremen, founded in 2005. The institution is operated by APOLLON University of Health Sciences GmbH, a member of the renowned Klett Group, one of Europe's leading educational companies with activities in 18 countries. The university specialises in academic training and further education in the fields of healthcare and social services, following a consistent concept of part-time distance learning.

Exams can be taken online up to twelve times a year as open-book exams or at numerous exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as globally at Goethe Institutes and consulates.

The study concept is particularly designed to meet the needs of working adults. Enrollment is possible at any time, with no fixed semester schedules. Students can flexibly pause and extend their studies at no extra cost. Individuals without a high school diploma can access the programmes through vocational qualifications. A four-week free trial period allows interested parties to test the study concept in advance.

Research and science are highly valued at APOLLON University. Research-based learning is an integral part of teaching, involving research-oriented theses and extracurricular offerings such as the Health Care Journal Club. International experiences can be gained through summer schools at partner universities like Riga Stradins University and FH Joanneum in Graz, focusing on topics such as digital healthcare, public health, and gerontology.
