For direct admission, you need a first university degree (bachelor’s) with content in health economics, health sciences or business administration. A degree from APOLLON University grants direct admission, except for the bachelor’s programmes in Nursing, Social Work, Nutritional Sciences, Applied Therapy Sciences and Vocational Pedagogy – here a preparatory course (Propädeutikum) is required. If you hold a thematically relevant degree from another university, APOLLON University examines recognition on an individual basis. If you cannot demonstrate a primarily health-economics-related background, successful completion of the preparatory course Health Economics & Management as well as at least two years of professional experience are necessary.
Personal requirements include a strong interest in the economic and political structures of the healthcare system as well as the willingness to analytically understand complex interrelations. Leadership and decision-making skills are just as important as the ability to work in a team and communication skills, also in international and interdisciplinary contexts.
