Studying Medical Education at MSB means learning to convey knowledge with enthusiasm and competence.
The developments in the education sector and the Bologna Process increase the demand for teachers with appropriate university degrees at health sciences schools. This raises the requirements for training in healthcare professions as well as the expectations of the trainees.
The Bachelor's degree programme in Medical Education (B.A.) at MSB Medical School Berlin is primarily aimed at teaching staff for healthcare professions, but also at prospective teachers. Due to its orientation towards the structure of teaching degree programmes, the course is compatible. After successful completion, you generally have the option to pursue a relevant Master's degree for teaching at vocational schools specialising in health sciences (including therapy sciences) or nursing sciences. If the corresponding requirements are met, it is also basically possible to pursue a doctorate after a successful Master's degree.
The aim of the programme is for students to receive a scientific basic education, to become familiar with current research topics focusing on medical education (e.g. in the fields of educational sciences, medical and natural sciences, educational and medical management) and to be able to critically evaluate these. In addition, competencies are to be imparted in the areas of educational psychology, medical ethics, interdisciplinary team development and management as well as research methods.
Study model: Part-time, 8 semesters.
