- Subject-specific higher education entrance qualification: admission in the relevant subject area.
- Professional access without Abitur: possible with
- at least 2 years of completed vocational training and at least 2 years of professional experience in a study-related field and passed subject-related university entrance examination
- Master craftsman certificate or at least a 400-hour advanced training qualification (e. g. technician, specialist, business administrator) and passed university entrance examination
- Special case: intermediate school leaving certificate plus 3-year vocational training with a final grade of 2.5 or better (alternatively: additional entrance examination)
The admission is NC-free and you can start your studies monthly.
As a personal requirement, you should have analytical thinking skills, a strong interest in technology and business, as well as a willingness to learn independently and in a structured way. You should be open to interdisciplinary issues, be able to communicate effectively and have a basic understanding of mathematical and scientific contexts. Organisational talent and commitment are particularly important for responsible online study. Some initial professional experience in technology, science, business or IT can facilitate the start of your studies, but is not a mandatory requirement.

How is the course structure and organisation designed?
The bachelor's degree programme Industrial Engineering (B.Eng.) is designed as an online distance learning course offering you maximum flexibility. You can start at any time on the first day of a month and organise your workload individually. The standard period of study is 6 semesters, but it can be flexibly extended up to 12 semesters.
