Admission requirements
- Relevant university degree, e.g. as industrial engineer (Diploma, Bachelor)
- or university degree with an engineering component of at least 60 Credit Points (in this case, the bridging course in Business Administration must be completed successfully)
- or university degree with an economic sciences component of at least 60 Credit Points (in this case, the bridging course in Engineering must be completed successfully)
- or university degree in any subject and
one and a half years of professional experience before, during, or after the first degree with a professional reference to the master's programme (in this case, both the bridging course in Business Administration and the bridging course in Engineering must be completed successfully)each with a scope of 210 Credit Points²
- with a first professional qualifying degree of 180 Credit Points, the missing 30 Credit Points must be completed by the time of registration for the master’s thesis at the latest. The missing 30 Credit Points² must be earned depending on the first degree either in engineering and/or in economic science modules. Deviating from this, up to 30 Credit Points can also be proven by recognition of correspondingly qualified, relevant professional experience.

The Master's degree programme in Industrial Engineering at FOM University imparts the necessary skills for this – from shaping product life cycles in the digitalised working world to optimising the sales of industrial goods. You will learn to analyse business processes, develop improvement proposals, and, with your combined business and engineering qualifications, keep an eye on manufacturing costs. Since in your later profession you will deal with a variety of international actors, regulations and technical conditions, you will also work specifically on your leadership and organisational skills. Additionally, you will address issues relevant to the marketing of industrial goods and plant engineering. This includes, for example, the development of successful claims management.
Graduates of the Master's degree programme in Industrial Engineering are qualified for specialist and management roles in diverse corporate contexts: in technical product sales management, as project or process managers in industrial companies, and in leading positions in production and technology management.
