Admission requirements
Please note: Each application is reviewed individually. Economic and legal competencies, which are prerequisites for admission to the degree programme but were not acquired during the first degree, may need to be completed within one year in parallel with the studies through bridging courses (approximately 100.00 Euro tuition fees per course). You will then be provisionally admitted as an auditor and can participate in the study and examination operations.
Furthermore, the following qualifications apply for admission to the MBA programme:
1. University degree (Diploma, Bachelor, Magister, Master) with at least 210 ECTS; applicants who cannot provide 210 ECTS have the possibility, after consultation with the Examination Office of DIPLOMA Hochschule, to acquire up to 30 ECTS through the recognition of non-university or academically acquired knowledge and skills (subject to individual assessment). Alternatively, bridging courses to acquire 30 ECTS at DIPLOMA Hochschule can be attended. For foreign degrees, equivalence must be proven for admission.
2. At least one year of professional experience.
3. Qualified English skills, proven by relevant certificates (TOEIC, TOEFL, Cambridge Certificate) or a suitability interview.
4. Initial leadership experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
Applicants without a university degree can be admitted to the MBA programme in accordance with § 20 (3) HHG if they:
1. Have completed vocational training
2. Have at least two years of professional experience related to the intended degree programme
3. Possess a university entrance qualification
4. Have qualified English skills
5. Have passed a suitability test at bachelor level at DIPLOMA Hochschule
Foreign degrees are assessed for admission in accordance with the Lisbon Recognition Convention.

The continuing education Master’s degree programme General Management with the academic degree Master of Business Administration (MBA) at DIPLOMA Hochschule is aimed not only at business professionals but also at individuals from the natural sciences, engineering, humanities, or social sciences.
The Master’s degree programme “General Management” (MBA) offers you a broad theoretical knowledge base from all essential business administration areas as an (online) distance learning course, including legal, information technology, social science, and management skills. Additionally, this structured distance learning promotes your personal development and self-competence. You will acquire leadership skills enhanced by soft skills that also take into account the intercultural aspects of the working world. Through presentations, discussions, and much more, you will also strengthen your communication skills.
During your studies, you will expand your knowledge and core professional competencies in, among others, the following fields:
• International accounting and financial management
• Communication and personnel management
• Methods of corporate management
• International marketing management
Course progression
At DIPLOMA Hochschule, you have the option to study the Master’s degree in General Management as an online course or as distance learning on-site.
The (online) distance learning course at DIPLOMA Hochschule is designed according to the “blended learning” principle. This means you study the course content using study booklets and attend seminars. These usually take place on 12 to 14 Saturdays per semester – in exceptional cases also during weekday evenings. In the online study format, these are held as live online seminars. You can also take your exams online or at an examination centre of your choice. In the on-site distance learning course, you complete your in-person seminars and exams at your chosen study centre – Regenstauf.
Costs & registration
The (online) distance learning course at DIPLOMA Hochschule starts every year in the summer semester (April) and winter semester (October). After individual review, starting your studies at any other time is also possible.
