Economists and business graduates update their expertise and gain additional competencies for international business. This enables them to reach a horizon that goes far beyond that of a traditional university degree.

STUDY CONTENT AND COURSE:

The MBA programme at FOM consists of twelve modules. Eight of these modules in the first and second semester provide you with the fundamentals for comprehensive management know-how - from General Economics and Marketing to Financial Management and Business Law, as well as Research Methods and Strategic Management. Participants who have not yet completed a degree in economics receive an overview of the subject and necessary terminology through a crash course in business administration, ensuring that all students have a common foundation. Additionally, a crash course in academic work introduction is offered.

In the third semester, you enhance your competence for designing general entrepreneurial objectives in an international context: Globalization influences different industries and companies in various ways - as a leader, you must manage and effectively leverage these impacts, whether it's a company relocating its headquarters abroad for cost optimization, or modern research and development requiring interconnected teams with members distributed worldwide.

Furthermore, it is essential for almost every company engaging across borders or sourcing goods to react flexibly to changes like rising or falling commodity prices and optimize its processes in the short term.

By working on practical case studies and independently developing solution approaches, you gain decision-making skills for these tasks.
