Formal Admission Requirements for the Master's Programme
The following formal requirements apply for admission to the Master's programme International Business Management at Hochschule Fresenius:
- Completion of a first degree (Bachelor or equivalent) with at least 180 ECTS credits
- At least 60 ECTS credits in economics or business administration subjects must be proven in the first degree

- Specialisations in the elective area: In the third semester, you specialise in a subject area such as Corporate Finance, Sustainability Management, International Relations, Consumer Behaviour, or Strategic Marketing – alternatively, you complete an internship or a semester abroad.
- Practical projects & international work: Case studies, projects, and an independent team project promote the application of knowledge to real business situations.
After completion, you will be able to identify global market opportunities, support transformation processes, and make strategic and operational decisions for international companies.
How does the programme proceed?
The programme lasts four semesters and is designed as a full-time on-campus course. Each academic year is divided into modules, each covering different focal points. The structure is as follows:
- Lectures and seminars take place in German or English (Language: English).
- In the third semester, you choose an elective module, an internship, or a semester abroad for further specialisation.
- Practice-oriented projects, case studies, and teamwork are integral parts of the curriculum.
- Method training in academic work and empirical methods prepares you for your Master’s thesis.
- In the fourth semester, you write your Master’s thesis, in which you independently handle an international management topic scientifically.
Interdisciplinary team projects, excursions, and guest lectures by company representatives ensure a strong practical orientation throughout the entire programme.

Tuition fees and financing options at a glance
The tuition fees for the Master’s in International Business Management amount to a total of 21,120 euros for a study duration of four semesters. Payment is made in monthly instalments of 880 euros. In addition, there is a one-time registration fee of 695 euros.
