What are the admission requirements?
For admission, you need university entrance qualifications, for example:
- General university entrance qualification (Abitur)

- Master craftsman certificate or an equivalent professional further training qualification
- Completed vocational training of at least two years plus at least three years of professional experience and a successfully passed university entrance examination
For applicants without Abitur, Hochschule Fresenius decides on the eligibility to study after reviewing the documents in accordance with the regulations of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
You should have an interest in economic contexts and international topics. High self-motivation and the ability to learn independently are important, as the programme is completed alongside work. Strong communication skills and enjoyment of intercultural exchange are advantageous. How Does the Degree Programme Work?
The programme is designed for seven semesters (3.5 years) and organised part-time. Each semester consists of several modules offered in the evenings, at weekends or in block phases – so you can combine your studies with your work. The courses take place in person at the chosen location, supplemented by selected digital learning phases and self-study.
- Scope: 180 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System)
- Typical learning formats: lectures, seminars, case studies, group work and projects
- Practical component: integrated practical projects and the opportunity to apply what you have learned directly in your job or within the scope of company and consulting projects
- Final phase: In the last semester, you write a bachelor’s thesis and go through the bachelor’s colloquium.
Examinations are modular and comprise written exams, oral exams, project work and presentations. The modular structure enables you to organise your studies flexibly and individually.
