The master's program "Taxation, Accounting, Finance" is the first nationwide master's program that leads to the renowned Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.). The program is also the only distance learning program recognized according to § 8a WPO, allowing for an accelerated auditing exam.

Admission requirements

  • A completed undergraduate degree from a public or state-recognized university in the field of Business Administration (BWL), Economics (VWL), or Law (Jura or Business Law) with at least 180 credit points.
  • Evidence of three months of practical work according to § 9 (1) of the Auditor's Ordinance and three months of examination activities according to § 9 (2) of the Auditor's Ordinance (practical experience) after obtaining the first professional qualification but before starting the Master's program.
  • Another requirement for admission to the program is passing an entrance examination.
  • You have sufficient English language skills at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.


The course "Taxation, Accounting, Finance" is offered in Hamburg by the European Distance University Hamburg. It is a part-time program with a duration of 32 months. The course is offered in German and covers a wide range of topics, including taxes, accounting, and finance.
