German-language degree programme in Tax Law
Degree: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
To meet the future high demand for young tax experts, FOM designed this programme, which is almost unique nationwide. The intensive exchange with chambers of tax advisors and associations throughout Germany enabled the compilation of highly up-to-date and practice-oriented content. With this degree, you will find employment in tax and business consultancy firms and, of course, in the tax departments of companies, e.g. in banks, insurance companies, the real estate sector, human resources or plant engineering. This programme is also ideal for tax clerks who later want to take the tax advisor examination.
COURSE CONTENT AND STRUCTURE:
Already in the first semesters, alongside the teaching of business and economics fundamentals, you will deal with tax law issues on which the lectures of the subsequent semesters build. In this way, you will gain comprehensive tax law knowledge at an early stage.
The work-integrated FOM concept offers an optimal connection between your daily work and an intensive study of tax law at university. The innovative mix of teaching methods, consisting of face-to-face lectures, workshops and group work, promotes interdisciplinary and cross-departmental thinking and trains key skills such as teamwork and communication skills.
In the 7th semester, interdisciplinary case studies and the final thesis (Bachelor’s thesis) are the focus. Here, the tax law knowledge acquired during your studies is applied to concrete cases from economic practice. Upon completion of the degree programme, the academic degree »Bachelor of Arts (Tax Law)« is awarded.
