- Advanced technical college entrance qualification or subject-related university entrance qualification (admission depends on federal state or field of study)
- Completed at least 2-year vocational training in a related field and at least 2 years of full-time professional work in a related area, plus successful participation in a subject-related university entrance examination
- Completed master craftsman’s examination or other advanced training with at least 400 hours of instruction (e.g., certified specialist, business administrator, technician), plus a subject-related university entrance examination
- Intermediate school leaving certificate and completed at least 3-year vocational training with a final grade of 2.5 or better (if lower grade: participation in an additional entrance examination), plus proof of independent study of some modules in the first year (at least 18 CP/1st semester or 30 CP/1st academic year)
In individual cases, the university also reviews other submitted qualifications or professional experience and decides on admission on a case-by-case basis.
For the programme, you should have an interest in psychological questions as well as in business-related contexts. Analytical thinking skills, communication skills, and willingness to engage with empirical research methods are advantageous. Self-discipline, personal responsibility, and good time management are important, as this is a flexibly organised distance learning programme. Initial practical experience in human resources, marketing, or management consulting facilitates the start, but is not mandatory.

You decide how quickly you progress. Choose between different time models (36, 48, or up to 72 months standard period of study) and adapt your studies to your professional situation. A mandatory practical project as well as elective modules allow for a focus on your personal interests and career goals.
