- B language (Chinese or German): C1 level (CEFR) in the respective other language
- C language (English, for all): B2 level (CEFR), receptive competence
The language combinations must be evidenced by recognised certificates or proven within the application procedure. The programme starts each winter semester.

How is the Study Process Organised?
The Master's programme Conference Interpreting (M.A.) at the International University SDI Munich is designed as a full-time on-campus course over four semesters. Classes take place on three days per week. The programme starts each year in the winter semester (October). A total of 90 ECTS are earned.
- In the first two semesters you study at SDI Munich.
- From the third semester onwards, you choose between the double degree programme with a transfer to Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) in Beijing or staying in Munich.
- The double degree programme includes a closely coordinated exchange and supervision model between both universities.
- Practical experience is promoted through lab exercises, internships, practical projects and individual supervision by lecturers.
- Study achievements are practice-oriented and take into account current labour market requirements.
The programme is conducted in German, Chinese and English and is tailored to both German national and international students.
