You need to provide evidence of completing the Bachelor's degree programme in Psychotherapy Science (Bakkalaureat) at SFU Berlin or a versatile Bachelor's or Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Psychology with the "Psychotherapy" profile according to the licensing regulations of 14.02.2020.
If there are missing contents related to a Bachelor's in Psychotherapy in your previous studies, you have the opportunity for individual examination and supplementation within the Bachelor's programme at SFU Berlin.

The Magister Psychotherapy Science programme at the Sigmund Freud Private University Berlin is designed for students with a relevant bachelor's degree who aim to acquire a well-founded and practice-oriented qualification in scientific and clinical psychotherapy. The programme lasts for four semesters and provides comprehensive knowledge of theories, methods, and current research approaches in psychotherapy science. The academic training covers a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches - including humanistic, psychodynamic, systemic, and behavioural therapeutic strategies - and addresses different models of personality and mental disorders. The focus is on integrating theory and practice, reflected in extensive internships at the university's own and cooperating institutions, as well as intensive personal development.

The completion of the study qualifies for independent psychotherapeutic activity with the prospect of approval, as well as for further specialist training in recognized guideline procedures. The training ensures solid knowledge of various treatment methods and prepares specifically for responsible tasks in outpatient, semi-inpatient, and inpatient care for different age groups. Graduates of this programme have various career opportunities in the healthcare sector as well as in research and managerial positions.
