You can be admitted to the part-time distance learning program in Culture and Media Pedagogy at IU International University if you can present either an Abitur (general university entrance qualification), a Fachabitur, or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.
In addition, you can also study Culture and Media Pedagogy without Abitur. To be admitted to the IU distance learning program without Abitur, you need to have completed an advanced vocational training, such as becoming a State-Certified Business Administrator, or have a master craftsman's certificate. You can also be admitted if you have completed a vocational training and worked full-time for at least 3 years following this training.

How flexible is the standard study duration in the distance learning program of Cultural and Media Education?
At IU International University, in the part-time distance learning program, you can choose from 3 study models:
- In the full-time program, the standard study duration is 6 semesters or 36 months. You can extend the standard study duration by up to 2 semesters or 12 months at no additional cost. The full-time program in Cultural and Media Education is especially suitable for those who are not employed or work only a few hours per week.
