Admission requirements
For the Master's degree programme Digital Business & Innovation, a first professional university degree in the field of economics (business administration, business informatics or similar) with at least 180 ECTS and a minimum grade point average of 2.7 is required.
In addition, English language skills must be demonstrated for the online modules, and an internet-enabled device with a microphone and camera is necessary.
Registration for the Master's degree programme is possible until 15 February of a given year.

The part-time, state-recognised Master's degree programme Digital Business & Innovation at the Duale Hochschule Schleswig-Holstein (DHSH) is designed as a springboard for careers in the digital age. The study content specifically prepares you for leadership positions in the areas of Business Development, Strategy and Strategic Innovation. Thus, the Master's degree opens up diverse opportunities in a dynamic and future-oriented field.
During the Master's programme in Kiel, you will learn how to develop digital strategies and business models and implement them through case studies. You will find out how to deal with management challenges brought by digitalisation and how Design Thinking as well as agile project management are applied in the context of technology and innovation. Furthermore, the module Open Innovation teaches you how to drive innovations by bringing knowledge together. Here you get an overview of all the content.
The Master's degree is structured through online modules and self-study phases so that your current job and private life can be optimally balanced with your studies.
The Master's programme Digital Business & Innovation is interdisciplinary, allowing you, with degrees in economics or information sciences, to deepen (for example in project management methods) as well as broaden (for example in the field of research and development) your knowledge.
In the first three semesters, you take three practical modules and one online module each. Two of the three online modules are taught in English. Each of the practical modules places an emphasis on project-oriented work in small groups.
In the third semester, you can choose one module from three elective modules – thus further specialising.
