With your Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy, you can work, for example, as an occupational therapist, as the head of an occupational therapy practice, or as a consultant for prevention and health promotion.

You can be admitted to the part-time distance learning program in Occupational Therapy at IU International University if you provide either a high school diploma (general university entrance qualification), a technical college entrance qualification, or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.

In addition, you must demonstrate a completed, qualified training as an occupational therapist.

Furthermore, you can study Occupational Therapy without a high school diploma. If you do not have a high school diploma or technical college entrance qualification, you can still be admitted if you have been working full-time as an occupational therapist for at least 3 years after completing your occupational therapy training.

This Bachelor's degree at IU includes approximately 15 modules that you will take and complete over 3 semesters of regular study time. Each module amounts to 5-10 credit points (ECTS) and concludes with an assessment such as an essay or an exam. How flexible is the standard study time in distance learning for Occupational Therapy

  • In full-time studies, the standard study time is 6 semesters or 36 months. You can extend the standard study time by up to 2 semesters or 12 months at no additional cost. Full-time studies in Occupational Therapy are particularly suitable for those who are not working or work only a few hours per week.
  • In part-time studies I, the standard study time is 8 semesters or 48 months. You can extend the standard study time by up to 2 semesters or 12 months at no additional cost. Part-time studies I are suitable, for example, if you work part-time alongside your studies.
