Course Content and Specialisations
Be a pioneer in the interdisciplinary collaboration among therapists and also specialise in working with children – with us, you will also obtain the certificate "Clinically-oriented Psychomotor Therapy".
The interdisciplinary orientation of the degree course adapts to the extensive requirement profile of therapy professions. Children often suffer from multifactorial problems that require a cross-disciplinary consideration and treatment. With us, you will learn how children develop in different environments and which deviations can occur. On this basis, we then focus on specific examinations and treatments in paediatrics. Additionally, we provide you with therapeutic key qualifications, which primarily include action, methodological, self, and social competence.
In addition to numerous medical professional groups, the parents of those affected also have a high need for professional advice and support. Accordingly, there is a strong demand for holistic thinking and acting therapists who know the strengths of the individual therapy professions, coordinate the deployment, and create synergies.
The study plan includes the following modules:
- 1st semester: Scientific methodology, development in childhood & adolescence, developmental disorders, patient-oriented health management & health economic methods
- 2nd semester: Health examination of children & adolescents, introduction to cross-professional paediatric approaches, interprofessional research, selected interprofessional application fields in paediatrics
- 3rd semester: Scientific specialisation, cross-professional approaches in the paediatric context, interprofessional communication & counselling
- 4th semester: Final examination
