Admission requirements

The prerequisite for admission to this degree programme is a successfully completed Bachelor's degree (with a grade of "good" or better) with at least 180 ECTS credits or a comparable academic degree, such as a Diplom degree. In the case of a deviating grade point average, the ability to study can be proven, if necessary, by a separate selection interview.
In the case of a Bachelor's degree that has not yet been completed in full, 80% of the credit points to be acquired must already have been achieved at the time of application. The outstanding achievements must be completed by the time of enrolment at the latest.
In the previous Bachelor's degree programme, at least 20% of the ECTS points should be allocated to the subject area of economics. Missing ECTS points from the subject area of economics can be proven either by a separate entrance test or by proof of a successfully completed commercial vocational training or by at least 18 months of relevant professional activity in business administration.
In addition, you demonstrate language skills in English at least at level B2 of the Council of Europe Framework of Reference or equivalent.
Study content and specialisations
The Luxury Management degree programme at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences provides students with the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the luxury goods industry. The focus of the programme is on developing leadership and management skills that are in demand in the luxury segment. Among other things, students learn strategies for customer acquisition and retention, brand management and luxury goods sales.
The curriculum includes the following modules:
- Semester 1: Luxury Business Mix, Strategic Marketing & Brand Management, Leadership & Management, Advanced Project Management, German I: Living in Germany or Intercultural Communication & Competence, Research Methodology
- Semester 2: Customer Experience in Luxury, Strategic & Financial Management in Luxury, Innovation Management & Design Thinking, Interdisciplinary Team Project I, German II: Working in Germany or Foreign Language Skills, Quantitative & Qualitative Methods for Business
- Semester 3: Origins of Luxury in History, Art & Culture, Media, Communication and Branding in Luxury, Advanced Team Project, Scientific Work in Practice, International Experience, Scientific Work in Practice, International Studies
- Semester 4: Stakeholder Communication & PR, Digital & Sustainable Transformation of Luxury, Master‘s Thesis
In the course of your studies, you will also delve into exciting specialisations, such as Corporate Finance or Consumer Behaviour & Psychology.
