The Bachelor's degree programme in Real Estate Management at Hochschule Fresenius is aimed at high school graduates as well as professionally qualified individuals who aspire to a career in the dynamic real estate industry. It particularly addresses those with an interest in economics and enthusiasm for topics such as property development, investment, urban development, or sustainable real estate management. The course is suitable both for school leavers after the (subject-related) Abitur and for professionals with master craftsman certification or an equivalent advanced training qualification who wish to further their academic qualifications.
What formal admission requirements must you meet?
The following admission requirements apply for enrolment in the Real Estate Management (B.A.) degree:
- General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or subject-related higher education entrance qualification
- Advanced technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur)
- Professional higher education entrance qualification: e.g. passed master craftsman examination, completed advanced training (e.g. specialist, technician) or a comparable qualification
- The degree programme is free of NC restrictions; there is no Numerus Clausus (no admission restriction based on grade point average)
German language skills at university level are required, as the course is taught in German. Applications can be submitted all year round. Additional requirements may apply for international applicants, such as recognition of foreign school qualifications and proof of sufficient German language skills.
You should have an interest in business management and real estate-related issues. Analytical and structured thinking are helpful to understand complex financial and legal contexts. Communication skills are advantageous, as many tasks are handled in teams or with external partners. Initiative, organisational talent, and a sense of responsibility are important, especially in project work and practical phases. Experience in using digital tools or initial insights into the real estate industry are useful additions, but not prerequisites. In the Bachelor's degree programme in Real Estate Management at Hochschule Fresenius, you will acquire comprehensive knowledge about the real estate sector. The course efficiently combines business administration and real estate-related topics. The core content includes:

- Introduction to real estate management as well as the real estate life cycle and facility management
- Project management, presentation techniques and academic work

How does the course proceed?
The programme is designed as a six-semester full-time course and includes 180 ECTS credits. Optionally, you can integrate a practical semester, which extends the duration of study to seven semesters and 210 ECTS credits. The study course is divided into compulsory, elective and practical modules:
- First year of study: Teaching of business and legal fundamentals as well as an introduction to real estate management.
- Second year of study: Deepening in real estate management, finance, project management and management methods.
- Third year of study: Elective modules, practical project, current topics such as digitalisation, innovation or sustainability and the preparation of the Bachelor’s thesis.
Courses take place in person, supplemented by project-oriented learning, excursions and workshops with practitioners from the real estate industry. A flexible study plan allows you to set individual priorities and participate in additional offers such as language courses or career workshops.

The Bachelor's degree programme in Real Estate Management opens up a variety of career paths in the real estate industry. Typical fields of activity for graduates are:
- Management and marketing of residential, commercial or special properties (corporate real estate manager)
- Project development, including planning, implementation and control of complex real estate projects
- Investment management: analysis and evaluation of properties as investment assets
- Activities at real estate companies, housing companies, project developers or in banks and insurance companies
- Consulting in real estate consulting or asset management
With the comprehensive economic and legal knowledge, you can work in both national and international companies. Location: Where can you study Real Estate Management?
The course is offered at all major campuses of Hochschule Fresenius: Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Heidelberg, Cologne, Munich and Wiesbaden. Each campus offers modern seminar and teaching rooms, libraries and additional services to support your studies. Differences in campus facilities and regional networks with partner companies allow you to establish contacts with real estate practice already during your studies.
The study location can – subject to agreement – also be changed during the course. For example, you can start a semester in Berlin and continue later in Cologne or Munich. In Heidelberg, a modified fee structure applies; otherwise, the study programme is uniformly organised at all locations.
Costs and financing: What expenses can you expect?
The monthly tuition fees amount to 850 euros at the locations Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Wiesbaden. In Heidelberg, they are 750 euros per month. Overall, this results in costs of approximately 30,600 euros for the standard duration of study. In addition, a one-time registration fee of 695 euros is charged.
The price includes all courses, study materials and participation in additional offers such as language courses, career coaching and networking events. You can apply for BAföG support for your studies, use a scholarship or take out a student loan. Hochschule Fresenius offers assistance with individual financing planning and helps with access to education funds or labour market-oriented financing models. Part-time jobs or working as a student assistant can often be combined with the timetable.
