Admission requirements
- First academic degree at a state or state-recognised university or a comparable degree in an engineering course of study with at least 180 ECTS credits
- Usually one year of relevant professional experience (after first degree), exception e.g. part-time first degree
- English skills at B1 level of the Common European Framework (CEF) are also required. These can often already be proven by school certificates or, if necessary, by suitable tests (e.g. TOEFL)

The mechanical and plant engineering sector is one of the leading industrial branches in Germany. In global competition, the industry scores with comprehensive innovative solutions of high quality. Thus, it asserts itself as a world market leader in many areas. Mechanical engineering graduates are in high demand.
The Master's degree programme in Mechanical Engineering focuses on development management as well as methods and procedures. The technical specialisation is offered in the following key areas: Finite Element Method (FEM), robotics and mechatronic systems as well as materials. An elective module allows individual preferences to be taken into account.
The start of studies is 1 January and 1 July each year. The application deadline is 15 November or 15 May each year.
