Admission requirements

For admission to the dual degree programme, a training contract with a company in the hotel or tourism industry must be in place. Additionally, the (technical) university entrance qualification must be held. Alternatively, admission is also possible with at least a 2-year vocational training and a master craftsman’s certificate or an IHK advanced training qualification, or with at least a 2-year vocational training and at least 3 years of professional experience.

The hotel and tourism industry is subject to changing trends, to which it must constantly adapt – including with regard to suitable marketing concepts. In order to respond appropriately to innovations and changes, expertise in marketing as well as a good understanding of the structures and processes of the hotel and tourism industry are necessary. With the dual bachelor’s degree, you acquire comprehensive know-how in both areas and thus qualify for a marketing position in the hotel industry or tourism sector.
