The English-language full-time programme is also designed for candidates who wish to gain an in-depth understanding of international financial markets while simultaneously gaining experience through a semester abroad or at global companies.
What are the formal entry requirements?
To be admitted to the Master of Science Finance, you need:
- a successfully completed bachelor’s degree with at least 180 ECTS credits, preferably in an economics-related subject (e.g. business administration, economics, finance or a comparable field)
- English skills at least at B2 level (usually demonstrated via certificates, TOEFL, IELTS or similar)
- complete application documents as specified
- successful participation in the ISM’s digital admission procedure (personal interview, assessment of motivation and suitability)
The programme is not restricted by a numerus clausus (NC). If your first degree comprises fewer than 180 ECTS, participation in ISM’s Pre-Master programme may be required.
You should have a strong interest in financial contexts and international markets. Analytical thinking skills, self-initiative and the willingness to solve complex problems in a structured way are important personal prerequisites. Experience with numbers, enjoyment of empirical analysis and teamwork facilitate entry. For studying in English, you should also bring openness to intercultural experiences and communication skills at an international level.
Course Content in Detail
In the Finance Master's programme at the International School of Management, you will acquire comprehensive knowledge of strategies, instruments and functions of modern financial markets. The programme provides you with in-depth expertise in key areas such as Financial Management, Investment Banking, Controlling and international tax law. A special focus is placed on the international framework conditions of finance as well as the development of relevant management skills.

Course Structure
The Finance Master's degree is organised as a four-semester full-time programme. The courses are conducted entirely in English, which optimally prepares you for the demands of the international finance sector. A firmly integrated semester abroad gives you the opportunity to gain valuable international experience at one of around 190 partner universities. During the course, you will work on practice-relevant projects and complete a total of at least 12 weeks of compulsory internships. This allows you to apply the knowledge you have acquired directly and expand your practical experience.

Costs and Financing
The tuition fees for the Finance Master's programme amount to €1,080 per month, corresponding to €6,480 per semester. The total costs for the standard period of study of four semesters thus amount to €25,920. ISM offers various options for financial support:
