Admission requirements
To enrol in the consecutive Master's degree programme at the German University for Prevention and Health Management, a first professional qualifying degree is required. Graduates of the tertiary education pathway are eligible.
Details
The Master of Arts in Prevention and Health Management deepens and expands competencies from the underlying degree (e.g. Bachelor's or Diploma degree) and connects these with expertise and skills in employee and corporate management. Due to their qualification in scientific methodology and statistics, graduates are able to critically assess strategic concepts according to scientific standards and, if necessary, develop, conduct and evaluate their own research projects. By choosing their study specialisations, students decide independently in which subject areas they want to deepen their qualifications. In the management field, graduates lead companies, manage teams and secure business success by developing new business areas. They create overall concepts for complex tasks, including planning, coordinating implementation and evaluation. At the operational level, they supervise specialists and managers who carry out individual concepts, for example for preventive counselling and exercise programmes, as well as health-oriented nutritional counselling. Graduates work outside the medical professions in health promotion as well as in primary and secondary prevention.
