DE Touro University Berlin (Touro University Berlin gGmbH) is a private, state-recognized university founded in 2003. It is part of the Touro University Systems, which was established in 1970 in New York City by Dr. Bernard Lander as a Liberal Arts College. The Berlin campus offers an American higher education with internationally recognized degrees and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The university's motto is "Start here go anywhere".
Touro University Berlin is located in a historic Bauhaus villa in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district of Berlin, directly by the water. The building, once owned by the Jewish Lindemann family, was designed by the architect Bruno Paul and played an important role as the residence of the Reich Church Minister after the Nazis came to power. Since 2003, the villa has served as the seat of Touro University Berlin, providing students with a special and historically significant environment.
