Touro University Berlin (Touro University Berlin gGmbH) is a private, state-recognized university founded in 2003. It is part of the Touro University Systems, which was established in 1970 in New York City by Dr. Bernard Lander as a Liberal Arts College. The Berlin campus offers an American higher education with internationally recognized degrees and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The university's motto is "Start here go anywhere".
Touro University Berlin is located in a historic Bauhaus villa in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district of Berlin, directly by the water. The building, once owned by the Jewish Lindemann family, was designed by the architect Bruno Paul and played an important role as the residence of the Reich Church Minister after the Nazis came to power. Since 2003, the villa has served as the seat of Touro University Berlin, providing students with a special and historically significant environment.

Particularly noteworthy is the Master of Arts in Holocaust Studies / Tolerance Studies, which is unique in Germany and deals with the topics of communication, tolerance, and the Holocaust. The programmes are characterized by small seminar groups and individual support, enabling a personal and intensive learning experience.
In the winter semester of 2022/23, the university had 139 students, with 107 in their first semester. Teaching is led by seven professors (as of the winter semester 2023/24). Touro University Berlin is known for its strong international focus and places great emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
Since its founding, Touro University Berlin has had close connections to the city of Berlin and its Jewish history. This is also reflected in the university's ethical values, which are based on inclusivity and equal opportunities.
