The ESCP Business School was founded in 1819 and is considered the oldest existing business school in the world. As a private, state-recognised institution with campuses in six European metropolises - Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Turin and Warsaw - it offers a unique transnational educational model. The school is part of the French Grande école tradition and is supported by the Paris Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce.
Research is conducted in specialized institutes such as the ESCP Tech Institute or the Sustainability Institute, as well as in theme-specific research centres, such as Artificial Intelligence or Intercultural Management.
ESCP offers a wide range of programs, including bachelor's, master's, MBA, and doctoral programs, as well as executive education. Annually, over 10,000 participants from more than 135 nations study at the school. Their programs are accredited internationally by bodies like AACSB, EQUIS, and EFMD. The selective admissions process and international focus make ESCP a leading institution in management education.
The Berlin campus of ESCP, a state-recognized site with the right to award doctoral degrees, focuses on sustainability, entrepreneurship, and digitalization. Here, students can pursue a Doctor of Economics degree (Dr. rer. pol.).
The study programs have a strong international focus. The Bachelor in Management (BSc) includes study years in three different countries. The Master in Management (MiM) offers up to four state-recognised degrees. The Executive MBA and numerous specialized Master's programs (MSc) cover areas such as Big Data, Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, or Digital Innovation. Additionally, ESCP offers a renowned Global Executive Ph.D. program. With over 80,000 active alumni worldwide, ESCP has a significant international network.
The school places a strong emphasis on practical relevance: Numerous partnerships with companies like Accenture, Bayer, or Coca-Cola highlight its strong connections to the business world. The campus in Berlin, located in a historic building in the Charlottenburg district, is closely linked to the dynamic startup scene and the economic ecosystem of the capital.
