The bachelor's degree program in Educational Science (B.A.) is conducted as a distance learning course and can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis, as well as in a dual study variant also in full-time and part-time. The program provides both educational and pedagogical content as well as competencies in pedagogical fields. The elective focus areas allow students to individually deepen their knowledge in selected thematic areas. The dual study variant emphasizes the connection between university studies and practical experience through practical reflections and exchange of experiences. Students acquire versatile knowledge and skills in theories, methods, and practical skills to prepare for various activities in the educational and psychological field as well as in social work successfully.
The program is aimed at professionals who have a professionally relevant vocational training and want to expand their career opportunities through academic qualification. It is also aimed at individuals without pedagogical background and training who are working or want to work in the field of education. Additionally, the program offers re-entrants to the teaching profession the opportunity to refresh and expand their didactic skills. A dual variant allows for a close integration of theory and practice for students who can demonstrate practical experience in the admission process.
