The programme is also suitable for career changers without a pedagogical background who want to qualify for roles in educational institutions, learning consultancy, or media education. Likewise, returnees to the teaching profession benefit from the targeted refreshment of their didactic and methodological skills. The flexible distance learning concept enables studying alongside work, optionally including practical phases and individual specialisation.
What Admission Routes are Available to You?
To be admitted to the Bachelor's distance learning programme in Educational and Pedagogical Sciences at Euro-FH, you can meet the following admission requirements:
- With A-levels or (Fach-)University Entrance Qualification: Direct access without further conditions.
- Without A-levels, with a subject-specific advanced training examination: For example, as a state-certified nursery educator, specialist, master craftsman, or with a comparable advanced training qualification.
- Without A-levels, with vocational training: You need a completed vocational training of at least two years and at least three years of professional experience in the trained or a related field.
Furthermore, individual modules or achievements can be credited based on prior completed advanced training and preliminary studies. There is no numerus clausus; the start of studies is possible at any time. For the dual study option, a practical company and company supervision during the studies are additionally required.
For successful studies, you should have an interest in educational and pedagogical issues, openness to digital teaching and learning methods, and enjoyment of academic reflection. Communication skills, advisory competence, and willingness to work with groups are helpful, as practical components and (virtual) attendance seminars are aimed at acquiring discourse and moderation skills. Self-organisation, self-motivation, and confident use of digital media particularly support your studies, as the learning content is mainly delivered through self-study and on the online learning platform.

In the Educational and Pedagogical Sciences bachelor’s degree programme, you acquire practical knowledge about teaching, learning, and pedagogical processes. For the compulsory compact seminars, you have the choice: either attend the sessions over eight days at the Hamburg campus, or participate virtually in the seminars. The supplementary webinar, lasting a total of three hours, is also available online. Exams can be taken either online or at one of the ten examination centres nationwide.
