Admission requirements
The Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is a state-recognized, private university of applied sciences. Students must therefore meet at least the same formal admission requirements that would be necessary for admission to a comparable course of study at a public university. The formal requirement for admission to a bachelor's degree at the FHM is a university or technical college entrance qualification. Those with relevant professional qualifications can also take up studies. Possible ways to access the course:

Based on their own experiences of school, they usually have many positive memories and a clear idea of the profession and know what they are “getting into”. Primary school teachers are formative caregivers and impart important knowledge to children from the first to the fourth grade that will serve them throughout their entire later life. They are knowledge mediators, supervisors, mediators and companions all in one, and therefore have a high level of social responsibility. Teaching children means not only teaching the prescribed curriculum in the areas of German, mathematics and the other subjects taught in primary school, but also doing work related to learning and developmental psychology. In addition, parent-teacher conferences and didactic lesson preparation and follow-up are also part of the job.
