Admission Requirements
In order to be able to start university studies at Hochschule Fresenius, applicants must provide evidence of the qualification required for the course (university entrance qualification). This is demonstrated by:
- the general university entrance qualification (Abitur), which entitles you to study at all universities and in all federal states,
- or the subject-specific university entrance qualification, which entitles you to study in the respective subject area and in the federal states listed in the certificate,
- or the university of applied sciences entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife), which entitles you to study at a university of applied sciences or in a sequential degree programme at a university in the federal states listed in the certificate.
Alternatively, you can also be admitted without Abitur or Fachhochschulreife. The following applies for studying without Abitur:
- You have passed a master craftsman’s examination.
- Or you have a qualification according to the regulation on access for professionally qualified persons to universities in the state of Hesse, i.e. either a qualification from a professional advanced training course of at least 400 hours, a qualification from a technical college or a vocational or administrative academy, or a passed final examination in a state-recognised training occupation with subsequent professional experience of at least three years and passing a separate university entrance examination.
- For foreign qualifications, equivalence must be demonstrated for admission.

Course Content and Specialisations
This degree programme combines elements of business administration and economics with IT fundamentals. Digitalisation plays a key role in the course. The curriculum includes the following modules:
- 1st semester: Strategic Media Management, Basics of Business Administration, Project Management and Presentation Techniques, Media and Communication Psychology, Marketing and Market Research, Communication Management
- 2nd semester: Digital Marketing and Online Business, Media Practice, Civil Law, Fundamentals of Economics, Academic Work, Statistical Methods,
- 3rd semester: Media Economics, Social Media and Content Marketing, Digital Law, Digital Project Management, Special Business Law, Empirical Research Methods
- 4th semester: Data Science and Data Analytics, International and Intercultural Management, Digital Transformation, Specialisation I
- 5th semester: Business Simulation Game, Practical Project, Business Ethics and Sustainability, Specialisation II
- 6th semester: Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Case Study: Applied Digital Marketing, Elective Module, Bachelor Colloquium, Bachelor's Thesis
During your studies, you will also specialise in 2 of these exciting specialisations: Film and Video Production, Digital and Social Media Management, Event Management, Corporate Communication and Agency Management.
By the way, you can optionally integrate a practical semester into your study programme. If you choose a practical semester, the standard period of study is extended to 7 semesters, and you will earn a total of 210 ECTS credits during your studies.
