The Master's programme M.A. Visual and Media Anthropology provides comprehensive knowledge in the field of visual and media anthropology. It is offered entirely online, with optional on-site workshops in Berlin, and is aimed at professionals from the media, culture, and entertainment industries. The programme covers both theoretical and practical aspects of film production, especially in the ethnographic and documentary fields, as well as immersive technologies like Virtual Reality. Students learn to depict cultures cinematically and photographically, as well as to develop VR applications. The practical application of the acquired knowledge includes ethnographic field research and the production of documentaries.
