Admission requirements

Admission to the degree programme in Business Law with international aspects is granted to those who meet the following requirements:

Passed Bachelor’s or Diploma examination at DIPLOMA University or another university or university of applied sciences (especially in the fields of business or law)
or
an at least equivalent foreign qualification in the same or a related subject area with a standard period of study of at least six semesters.
In addition, knowledge of the English language must be demonstrated. This can be done through internationally recognised certificates (e.g. TOEFL test, among others) as well as through an individual examination.

Applicants whose final grade of their first professional academic degree is “sufficient” are not eligible to participate in the Master's programme. Applicants with the grade “satisfactory” must demonstrate in an assessment interview that they are capable of successfully completing this course of study.

Details

The master’s degree programme “Business Law with International Aspects” focuses on legal specialisations. It is designed for students who later wish to operate internationally from Germany in the field of business law. The programme is the first choice for students with ambitions in business law who primarily want to work in commercial enterprises. Through the basic modules, students shall acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for their future professional activity in the field of international business law. The perspective is on the restructuring of companies.

In the master’s programme “Business Law with International Aspects” (LL.M.), you will be enabled, as a 5-semester online distance learning course, to actively acquire knowledge and independently learn the latest findings in your field of study. You will be able to classify the latest legislative changes and developments in case law on the basis of a systematic understanding of your subject and implement the consequences for practical work. Depending on the case constellation, you will deal in a differentiated manner with the scientific foundations and research of international business law. You will acquire the competence to proactively identify the need for action using your expertise, assess the risks of entrepreneurial decisions based on the legal conditions, develop concrete problem solutions and accompany their implementation processes.

During your studies, you can also choose your personal, career-oriented focus in order to further deepen your skills.

Course progression
At DIPLOMA Hochschule, you have the opportunity to study the master’s degree Business Law with International Aspects as an online programme.

The online distance learning programme at DIPLOMA Hochschule is designed on the “blended learning” principle. This means you work through the study content using study booklets and attend live online seminars. These usually take place on 12 to 14 Saturdays per semester – in individual cases also on weekday evenings. You can take your exams online or at an exam centre of your choice.

Costs & Registration
The (online) distance learning programme at DIPLOMA Hochschule starts every year in the summer semester (April) and winter semester (October). Starting your studies is – following individual examination – also possible at any other time.
