Details
Basketball is considered one of the fastest sports in the world and demands not only team spirit, tactical skills and coordination from players but also mental strength. It is the "game of runs", where seemingly secure leads can be equalised and lost again in the blink of an eye. The constant back and forth between success and failure is part of basketball and requires continuous tactics and reactions. In this dynamic process, coaches play a crucial role. During the competition, they must rely on the right players, make clever decisions and stop the opponent’s runs. Outside the court, matches are prepared and reviewed, and additional tasks are undertaken: strengthening team spirit, assessing and managing the performance condition of individual players, promoting young talent and much more. In short: successfully coaching basketball teams is a complex process of action that requires a contemporary, interdisciplinary and well-founded education.
