With your Bachelor's in Dietetics, you can work, for example, as a consultant in the nutrition industry, as a leader of nutrition therapy teams, or as a nutrition specialist for clinical research.

In the part-time distance learning program in Dietetics at IU International University, you can be admitted if you hold either a high school diploma (general university entrance qualification), a technical college entrance qualification, or a subject-specific university entrance qualification.

In addition, you have completed a vocational training as a state-certified dietitian.

Furthermore, you can also study Dietetics without a high school diploma. If you do not have a high school diploma or technical college entrance qualification, in addition to your vocational training as a dietitian, you must demonstrate at least 3 years of professional experience as a dietitian. You will then complete a short trial study before being regularly enrolled.

How flexible is the standard study time in distance learning Dietetics

At IU International University, in the part-time distance learning program, you choose one of 3 study models:

  • In full-time studies, the standard study time is 3 semesters or 18 months. You can extend the standard study time by up to 2 semesters or 12 months at no additional cost. Full-time studies in Dietetics are particularly suitable for those who are not working or only work a few hours per week.
  • In part-time studies I, the standard study time is 4 semesters or 24 months. You can extend the standard study time by up to 2 semesters or 12 months at no additional cost. Part-time studies I, for example, are suitable if you work part-time alongside your studies.
  • In part-time studies II, the standard study time is 6 semesters or 36 months. You can extend the standard study time by up to 2 semesters or 12 months at no additional cost.
