Details
Social change increasingly affects central aspects of individuality related to sexuality as well as relationship and life forms. With this development, the demand for qualified professionals in education, social and health services with a focus on sexual education is also growing, who gain specific competence and corresponding qualification during their training.
The aim of the Master’s degree programme in Sexual Science at MSB is, on the one hand, to enable students to provide sexual educational counselling and support in various (psycho-)social fields of work, and on the other hand, to impart knowledge for the scientific advancement and theory development in sexual science.
The main focus areas of the Master’s degree programme in Sexual Science lie in the scientific examination of physiological, psychological and socio-cultural aspects of sexuality as well as in the development of counselling services. The Master’s degree programme is designed as an interdisciplinary programme and is therefore deliberately aimed at graduates of various Bachelor’s degree disciplines (psychology, education sciences, social work/social pedagogy and pedagogy).
