Admission Requirements
To be able to start a university degree at the Carl Remigius Medical School, applicants must provide proof of the qualification required for the course of study (university entrance qualification). This can be demonstrated by:
- the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), which entitles you to study at all universities and in all federal states,
- or the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, which entitles you to study in the relevant field and in the federal states specified on the certificate,
- or the advanced technical college entrance qualification, which entitles you to study at a University of Applied Sciences or in a tiered degree programme at a university in the federal states specified on the certificate.
In addition, you need a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Education or in a comparable educational degree programme for admission.

Course Content and Specialisations
This part-time degree course systematically imparts profession-specific scientific competencies, advanced know-how in health professions research, as well as expertise in educational management and specialised skills in teaching methodology.
The curriculum includes the following modules:
- 1st semester: Reasoning & Appraisal, Professional Development in Teaching, Diversity Management, Scientific Methodology
- 2nd semester: Research Projects in the Profession, Interprofessional Concepts in Teaching, Educational Psychology, Educational Aspects in the Health System and Public Health

The part-time course at Carl Remigius Medical School is a so-called hybrid degree, which optimally combines attendance components with online study. This allows you to complete a fully flexible course of study that integrates perfectly into your daily life, professional career and family life.
The lectures take place at the beginning of each semester during a short week from Wednesday to Saturday as well as over a weekend from Friday to Saturday. During the semester, there is one additional short week and two further weekends.
The lectures and seminars are complemented by teaching and training projects with teaching demonstrations.
