Who is the EBS MBA suitable for?
The EBS MBA is aimed at professionals with at least two years of qualified work experience after their initial degree, who want to acquire targeted management and leadership skills at an international level. The target group includes specialists and executives from all industries – for example, engineering, IT, consulting or production – who aspire to leadership positions or want to qualify for challenging management roles in an international environment. Individuals with ambitions for a career in the start-up sector or at multinational companies also benefit from this generalist management education.
What formal criteria must you meet?
To be admitted to the EBS MBA, you need to provide the following evidence:
- University degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent, regardless of the field of study) with at least 180 ECTS credits or an internationally equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of qualified, full-time equivalent professional experience after completion of the initial degree
- High level of English language skills: e.g. TOEFL iBT 95, IELTS 7, Duolingo 125 or an equivalent certificate; proof is not required if your initial degree was completed in English, you are a native speaker, or you have demonstrably worked for at least two years in an English-speaking country. For a semester abroad, a current language certificate is always required.
- Successful result in a standardised management test: accepted tests are GMAT, GRE, Business Admissions Test (BAT), EBSgrad Test or Common Admissions Test (CAT)
The selection process also includes a personal interview, in which motivation, social skills, communication ability and initiative are assessed.
You should be able to think analytically and structurally, have discipline and endurance, and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds. Openness to change, flexibility and intercultural sensitivity are particularly important for the international environment. Communication and persuasion skills, teamwork as well as a strong sense of responsibility are among the key personal prerequisites. Previous experience in leadership roles, project management or managing change processes is also advantageous.
What course contents can you expect in the EBS MBA?
In the EBS MBA, you develop comprehensive management and leadership skills with a direct practical focus and an international orientation. The programme is divided into core compulsory modules and a challenging project study. Already in the Onboarding Week, you work on a real case study (“Social Impact Challenge”) for a regional company. In the project study, you deepen your knowledge through Field Studies and a Capstone Project. The following topics form the content foundation:

The modules are complemented by specialised offerings in Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Negotiation Skills and a focus on personal development. You also benefit from intensive coaching, soft-skill trainings and an international curriculum – all courses are offered in English.
What is the study process and organisation of the EBS MBA?
The EBS MBA is offered as a flexible on-campus programme. You can choose between two options:
- Full-time model: Study duration 12 months (2 semesters), with courses from Thursday to Saturday
- Part-time model: Study duration 24 months (4 semesters), with courses on a maximum of two days per week (Thursday–Saturday)
Your studies begin with an intensive Onboarding Week, followed by project-based courses and block teaching. Further on, you will work on real company projects, participate in excursions and benefit from guest lectures from industry professionals. Thanks to small group sizes and individual coaching, you receive personal support. An optional semester abroad at a partner university can be integrated and expands your global network.
The programme concludes with a master thesis designed as a practice-oriented Capstone Project. Examinations take place in the form of written exams, term papers, presentations and case studies. The entire MBA is strongly practice-oriented and makes use of modern digital learning platforms.

What is the study location like at the Oestrich-Winkel campus?
The MBA programme of EBS takes place on the Rheingau Campus in Oestrich-Winkel (Hesse), about 20 km west of Wiesbaden in the historic Schloss Reichartshausen. The campus offers modern lecture halls, seminar rooms, a large library, a cafeteria and numerous opportunities for networking and student initiatives. The natural location by the Rhine and proximity to the Frankfurt metropolitan area provide an attractive study environment with a high quality of life. Students mainly use accommodation options in Oestrich-Winkel and its surroundings; the university actively supports with housing searches.
A semester abroad is optionally integrable. EBS cooperates with over 200 international partner universities, thus promoting international mobility for its MBA students.
What costs and financing options should you expect with the EBS MBA?
The tuition fees for the EBS MBA amount to a total of €29,780, regardless of whether you complete the programme in 12 (full-time) or 24 months (part-time). The fee includes all courses, examinations and university services. Payment is made per semester with €12,790 per semester in the full-time model.
- Early enrolment bonus: Up to €6,000 fee waiver possible for early registration (depending on enrolment date before the semester start)
