These are the requirements for the Bachelor's in Fitness Economy

With your Bachelor's in Fitness Economy, you can work, for example, as a business consultant in the fitness industry, as a product manager, or in the management of fitness and health facilities.

You can be admitted to the private Bachelor's program in Fitness Economy at IU International University if you either have a Abitur (general university entrance qualification), a technical college entrance qualification, or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.

In addition, you can also study Fitness Economy without an Abitur. To be admitted to the IU program without an Abitur, you must have completed an advanced training course, such as becoming a state-certified business administrator, or have a master craftsman's certificate. You can also be admitted if you have completed a vocational training and worked full-time for at least 3 years after completing this training.

These are the study contents in the Fitness Economics programme

This Bachelor's degree at IU comprises approximately 32 modules, which you will take and complete over the course of 6 semesters of standard study time. Each module is worth 5-10 credit points (ECTS) and concludes with an examination such as a term paper or an exam. In total, you will earn 180 credit points from module to module and from semester to semester.

At the start of the programme, you can decide whether to complete a self-organized internship totaling 30 CP or over 900 hours, or instead participate in the following 6 modules: Personal Skills, Collaborative Work, Conversation and Negotiation Techniques, Interaction and Communication in Organizations, Digital Skills, Project: Public Speaking.

How the myStudium Fitness Economics programme at IU works

The myStudium at IU International University is a flexible hybrid programme that combines traditional study with self-learning phases at home.

Supporting events take place 2-3 days per week via the Virtual Campus of IU. Through the online portal and the Learn App of IU, students have access to study materials, presentations, and videos for the modules in Fitness Economics at any time.

The semester consists of 2 quarters, so you will take 3 modules per quarter and complete an exam preparation phase. Modules in Fitness Economics, for example, conclude with an exam or a term paper.

Studying Fitness Economics at the Virtual Campus of IU

If there is no IU campus near you or if you prefer to learn flexibly and digitally, you can also enroll at the so-called Virtual Campus of IU.

At the Virtual Campus, you can complete your supporting events in Fitness Economics, for example, through regular video conferences with your peers and lecturers.
