Studying dual means that practical training at the company and the academic studies at the DHSH alternate and complement each other. During the three-year course, you spend ten weeks per semester at the DHSH learning marketing, accounting & co. The rest of the time you work at the partner company you chose – and receive your own salary from the very beginning!
The dual degree programme prepares you to solve specialist and management tasks, analyse business administration issues on a scientific basis, and develop and implement practical solutions within the company. In addition, we aim to equip you with the necessary skills for research and development areas as well as for a master’s programme.
In the first four semesters of your studies, modules such as Industry-specific Business Administration I-IV are included in your curriculum. The content depends on the specific sector focus of the partner company where you complete the practical phases of your studies. Currently, we offer the following sector focuses: banking, services, trade, industry, tourism, tax consultancy, healthcare
In addition to your bachelor’s degree, you can obtain a professional qualification and the trainer aptitude certification according to the Trainer Aptitude Regulation (AEVO) during your three years at the DHSH. For business administration students, the professional qualifications depend on the sector focus of the partner company. The examination before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) or the Chamber of Tax Advisors takes place after 2.5 years.
Companies need employees who know how to apply their skills effectively. Successful students who have demonstrated their knowledge and commitment not only in the academic environment but already within the company can be confident of excellent future prospects. High retention rates and the long-standing cooperation with renowned partner companies prove: A dual degree is the start of a promising professional career.
