- Completed Bachelor’s Degree: To apply, you need a first academic degree (Bachelor). The subject area of your first degree does not matter – the programme is non-consecutive.
- English skills at least at B2 level: Proof of English language skills according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), at least level B2. If you obtained your university entrance qualification in Germany, the proof is generally considered fulfilled.
Other documents or proofs such as a motivation letter or letters of recommendation are not expressly required for the application. All information relevant to enrolment will be provided to you directly by the university.

The Master's programme in Intercultural Communication at the International University SDI Munich provides you with in-depth knowledge in intercultural communication, conflict management, moderation, marketing, personnel management and organisational management. The curriculum combines theoretical foundations with practical application and prepares you to confidently handle complex communication situations in an international environment.
- Intercultural Competence: Analysis and understanding of cultural differences, development of action strategies for future communication tasks.
- Communication & Conflict Management: Moderation techniques, conversation methods and strategies for conflict resolution in multicultural teams.
- Marketing & Organisation: International marketing strategies, change management, personnel management and building resilient organisations.
You can choose between four specialisations:
- Business Administration: Topics such as process management, strategic & finance management as well as e-commerce & entrepreneurship.
- Intercultural Project Management: Focus on international project management, intercultural cooperation and leadership of virtual, multilingual teams.
- Digital Workplace: Specialisation in the area of digitalisation of work processes and collaboration in digital contexts.
- Intercultural Leadership: Development of your leadership skills for multicultural teams, including ethics and decision making.
The programme is taught in English. English skills at B2 level (GER) are required.
How does the study programme work?
The full-time programme lasts 3 semesters and is organised as a 3-day model. This means that your classes are concentrated on a maximum of three days per week. This allows you time for practical phases, part-time jobs or your own projects.
