Admission requirements
Applicants must provide personal information, including full name, contact details, nationality/nationalities, and address. Additionally, details of schools and universities attended are required. An English language proficiency certificate (such as TOEFL or equivalent tests) is mandatory unless corresponding evidence has already been submitted. Short essay questions must be answered, and PDF scans of the most recent academic transcripts, and if necessary, a certified translation, must be submitted. A CV, a copy of the passport, a biometric photo, screening materials, and a letter of recommendation are mandatory.

The Bachelor of Music at the Barenboim-Said Academy offers a comprehensive musical and academic education over a period of four years. This programme is designed for students who wish to combine a solid musical education with knowledge from the humanities. They will receive individual instruction in orchestral instruments, piano, or composition. The courses cover areas such as music theory, music history, and ear training, as well as advanced courses in performance practice and musicology. In addition, the curriculum includes humanities modules in philosophy, history, and literature to promote students' intellectual curiosity and critical reflection skills. The aim is to prepare students for a career as professional musicians or music educators.
